The inaugural flight from Cam Ranh International Airport landed at Dong Hoi Airport on Sunday afternoon, marking an expansion of Quang Tri's air network.

The new route is expected to shorten travel between Quang Tri and the south-central region while giving the province greater access to international visitors travelling through Cam Ranh International Airport.
It is also expected to facilitate business travel and strengthen economic, investment, trade and tourism links between the two localities.
Passengers on the inaugural flight are welcomed with flowers at Dong Hoi Airport.
The Cam Ranh-Dong Hoi route is operated by Sun Phu Quoc Airways with three return flights a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flights leave Cam Ranh at 2.05 pm and arrive in Dong Hoi at 3.30 pm, while services in the opposite direction depart Dong Hoi at 12.05 pm and land in Cam Ranh at 1.25 pm.
The airline also operates a daily return service between Dong Hoi and Hanoi.

The inaugural flight carried 172 passengers, including Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2025 Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh.
Phuong Linh said the new service would make travel between the two regions more convenient while helping promote tourism, trade and local culture.
