Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has instructed Hanoi to coordinate with concerned agencies to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, including the expansion of Ba Dinh Square for the upcoming military parade.
Under Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh’s instruction, the Ministry of Defence is responsible for working with relevant units to finalise and issue the parade plan within June and to organise rehearsals, the official parade, and related activities. Chinh must be informed of this task’s progress by July 15.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to coordinate with the ministries of defence, public security, the Hanoi People’s Committee, and other agencies to develop the ceremony and parade script, prepare a special art performance, and implement related tasks. The plan must be submitted to the deputy prime minister by July 31.
Hanoi and relevant units have also been tasked with overseeing site clearance to expand the Ba Dinh Square area for the celebration, parade, and procession. Progress must be reported to the deputy prime minister by July 15.
Hanoi has announced plans to host fireworks at Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium, and West Lake. The displays will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
