Phat and Yen were diagnosed with severe pneumonia, while An faced heart problems and was taken to Hanoi for treatment.

Phat and Yen have been discharged from the hospital and are cared for by their relatives. Meanwhile, An has recently experienced his first heart surgery.

According to doctors, treatment would take a lot of time and be costly. However, the family is destitute.

The three children entirely depend on powdered milk, which costs around VND5 million (USD196.43) a month, a big sum for the poor family.

Phong’s husband does not have a stable job. He works at construction sites and earns a modest income. He has already borrowed VND120 million (USD4,715) to cover the treatment of the children.
