There is hope for train accident victim Danh, as his parents take him for treatment to the Children’s Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

This is not Danh’s first trip to Ho Chi Minh City for treatment, but this time, he is going with many good wishes from the public.

Dan Tri’s readers present gifts to Danh.

On the way to the hospital, Danh asked, “Are we going to Sai Gon again mom? Why do we always have to go there?”

But he is feeling lively and immediately settles into the routine and has made friends with his room mates. Due to overcrowding at the hospital, he has to share a bed with another child, while his parents sleep on the floor.

Today Danh is pleased to have received gifts from so many people. His favourite is the remote control toy car which he says “I will take home for my brother, Dat.”

Crawls up to the bridge and slides down.

After having spent the entire morning in the hospital room, Danh insisted on going out to play in the afternoon. The play ground toys; such as swings, ferries and wheel chutes, which children living in towns take for granted were all a novelty to him.

Danh dines on broken rice.

Danh’s father confirmed that he was admitted into hospital today and there will be a consultation tomorrow to decide on the method of treatment to improve his digestive system and fitting him with an artificial leg.

He said: “I do not know what the result will be, but I hope it will improve his digestive system.”
