Danang approves VND10-trillion waterway tourism project

The central city of Danang has approved a VND 9.88 trillion (USD 394.5 million) project to develop inland waterway tourism services.

Under the plan, the city will build, upgrade, and expand 20 inland waterway wharves along with auxiliary facilities, covering over 15 hectares. A 25-hectare park will also be developed behind 11 of the wharves.

In addition to tourism, the network of ports and wharves will serve as passenger hubs, provide docking for vessels, support public water transport, ease road traffic congestion, and diversify travel options.
