A seven-year old girl from the central province of Tay Ninh is facing death and her family is asking for help from the DTiNews community.

Nguyen Le Nhat Lam, from Duong Minh Chau District, Tay Ninh Province has been diagnosed with a disease that attacks the central nervous system. She has since become very thin and suffers from myasthenia.

Her mother Le Thi My Ngoc said just one week after entering the first grade, her daughter became very tired and had a high fever. Despite being taken to the local general hospital, doctors there failed to diagnosed the girl’s disease. Since then she has been bedridden, as her limbs are paralyzed. She needs to be fed with a tube.

Nhat Lam was taken to several hospitals, but was diagnosed with a number of diseases. Doctors said she suffered from a kind virus which attacks the central nervous system. However, the hospitals failed to find an effective treatment.

Support for the family now solely depends on the modest income of Nhat Lam’s father, Nguyen Cong Thu, who works as a day labourer in HCM City. Meanwhile, Mrs. Ngoc and her daughter live in her mother’s house in Tay Ninh Province.
