The festival's general rehearsal

As many as 5,000 women from 20 different localities in the country will participate in the Ao Dai and Ao Ba Ba parade during the festival. The participants are of different ages and are from different groups, including students and the elderly.

According to Vo Kim Thoa, chairman of the Can Tho Women’s Union, the event’s general rehearsal was organised. Currently, the organising board is completing the final work, including the stage decoration.

The festival is among the activities to mark the 20th anniversary since Can Tho was recognised as a centrally run city and the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union. It also aims to honour the beauty and value of Ao Ba Ba and Ao Dai.

A range of performances and cultural events will be held at the festival along with the display of local dishes and specialties.
