Diamond Plaza Shopping Centre, one of the biggest Christmas venues in the city, has stood out with a large Christmas tree, and Santa Claus and his sleigh.
The centre has attracted hundreds of young people and children who come to enjoy the atmosphere and take photos every day.
A staff member at the Nowzone Fashion Mall in District 1, Tran Viet Quan, said it took them 15 days to prepare and put up the decorations for Christmas this year. "We've experienced a difficult year at our stores here due to slow sales amid the economic downturn," Quan said. "So we wanted to take this chance to attract more visitors and customers during the year-end shopping season."
A coffee shop in District 3 has also attracted lots of visitors thanks to its beautiful Christmas decorations. A young woman, Thanh Mai, said that she and a group of friends decided to visit during the week after hearing that it is very crowded during weekends. "However, it was still busy on Tuesday afternoon when we arrived," Mai said. "But we still enjoyed this bustling atmosphere and especially the amazing decorations here."
Many churches are also being decorated for Christmas.
