Waterway ​traffic ​suspended on Da River ​during ​bomb and ​mine ​clearance

The Military Command of Hoa Binh Province has launched a bomb and mine clearance operation along the downstream section of the Da River, from Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant to Thong Nhat Bridge.

The clearance team, comprising 50 personnel divided into two groups, is working across a riverbed area spanning approximately 29.5 hectares. The operation is scheduled to continue until June 6.

During the mission, the provincial military command has requested the coordination of relevant authorities, including the provincial police and the Department of Construction, to manage road traffic on three bridges crossing the Da River​, Hoa Binh, Huu Nghi, and Thong Nhat bridges. Waterway traffic will be completely suspended throughout the operation to ensure the utmost safety for people and vessels in the area.
