At about 10.10 pm, shortly after the final whistle, crowds surged into central areas of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and many other localities, chanting “Vietnam champions” and waving national flags.

In Ho Chi Minh City, central streets such as Le Loi, Tran Hung Dao and Nguyen Hue were packed with supporters.

Thousands gathered in front of the municipal People’s Committee headquarters, waving flags and celebrating the title.

In Hanoi, people converged on areas around Ba Dinh Square and major streets to celebrate the victory.


In front of the Opera House, people waved national flags and cheered “Vietnam champions”.


Fireworks were set off, drums and horns echoed through the capital, and groups of young fans sang patriotic songs as celebrations continued late into the night.

Similar scenes were reported across the country. In Danang, Nguyen Van Linh Street was jammed with jubilant supporters.

Residents in Can Tho, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and other provinces joined spontaneous street parades, sharing in the nationwide euphoria sparked by the young team’s triumph.
