The meal was hosted at Ngon Garden, a restaurant on Nguyen Du Street known for its Vietnamese regional cuisine.

According to the restaurant, preparations began several days in advance following discussions with the Thai Embassy in Vietnam, which sought a menu showcasing the diversity of Vietnamese culinary traditions.
The lunch was attended by around 100 guests and was held in a private dining area on the restaurant's second floor.
The menu was divided into three courses. Starters included fresh spring rolls with shrimp and pork, banh xeo, Hue-style grilled pork skewers and crab spring rolls.

Main courses featured steamed squid with lemongrass and fish sauce dressing, grilled hemibagrus fish with galangal and fermented rice, bun cha, beef pho and chicken pho. Guests were served lotus seed sweet soup with longan for dessert.
Restaurant representatives said Anutin and several members of the delegation selected chicken pho as their main dish.
No special requests were made regarding the recipes or ingredients, allowing chefs to prepare the dishes according to traditional Vietnamese cooking methods. Fresh herbs and condiments commonly used in Vietnamese cuisine were served alongside the meal.
Staff described the atmosphere as relaxed and friendly. Several members of the delegation spoke Vietnamese and praised the dishes served during the meal.

Food safety procedures were implemented throughout the event, including ingredient inspections and food sampling in line with regulations.
Restaurant manager Pham Duc Hoa said hosting the delegation was a privilege and an opportunity to introduce Vietnamese cuisine to international guests.
The restaurant has previously welcomed foreign leaders and diplomatic delegations from several countries. Housed in a restored French colonial villa, Ngon Garden has been included in the Michelin Selected list of the Michelin Guide for four consecutive years.
Vietnamese cuisine has increasingly featured in the programmes of visiting foreign leaders in recent years, helping promote the country's culinary heritage to international audiences.
Anutin is visiting Vietnam and attending the ASEAN Future Forum from June 8-9.
