An overview of the Phung Khoang Park project.
The project's investors, Hanoi Housing Development Investment Company and the Construction Investment & Urban Development Company, have transferred the park to the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee, which officially opened it on January 15.
Initiated in 2016 and anticipated to be completed in 2017, Phung Khoang Park was expected to become a daily destination for relaxation and exercise.
However, the park construction project, which spans nearly 12 hectares in Nam Tu Liem and Thanh Xuan districts, has faced multiple delays.
The project was put in focus at a meeting held late last year when the Hanoi People's Committee decided to set up a steering board headed by Chairman Tran Sy Thanh to prevent wastefulness.
Addressing the meeting, the city chairman requested Nam Tu Liem and Thanh Xuan districts to complete the land allocation for the project by December 15 so that the project could be finished by the Lunar New Year 2025.
