Hundreds of young people and tourists went out in Hanoi's Old Quarter and HCM City's Nguyen Hue Street last night. Many chose to transform themselves into well-known characters such as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland or Annabelle the demon doll.

Visitors could have their face painted for just VND40,000 (USD1.76).
