Five people were injured after a passenger coach carrying 19 passengers and two drivers crashed into a mountainside while travelling through Khanh Le Pass in Khanh Hoa Province on July 27.
Local authorities in Nam Khanh Vinh Commune said the accident occurred shortly after 6 am on National Highway 27C as the coach was travelling from Nha Trang to Dalat.
The vehicle reportedly lost control while negotiating a bend on the mountain pass before veering into the rock face.
The impact severely damaged the right side of the coach and shattered several windows.
Five people suffered injuries to their arms and legs. They received first aid from emergency medical teams before being transferred to Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital for treatment.
Traffic police from Khanh Hoa Provincial Police were deployed to the scene to manage traffic and ensure vehicles could pass safely through the area while the accident site was cleared.

National Highway 27C stretches for more than 120km, linking the coastal city of Nha Trang with the Central Highlands resort city of Dalat.
The route includes Khanh Le Pass, a winding mountain road with numerous sharp bends and an elevation of more than 1,700 metres above sea level, making it one of the region's more hazardous driving routes.
Since the highway opened to traffic, a number of road accidents have been recorded along the route.
