Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Friday attended the ground-breaking ceremony for an amusement park in Hanoi.
Kim Quy or Golden Turtle Amusement Park is among 25 parks that would be built in the capital city in the next five years.
The park, located on a 135-ha site in Vinh Ngoc Commune, Dong Anh District, is invested by the Sun Group with a total capital of VND4.6 trillion (USD219 million) for the first phase.
It will be Hanoi's first international-standard amusement park.

Speaking at the ceremony on September 2 morning, PM Phuc urged Hanoi to speed up site clearance work for the project. During the work, municipal authorities need to ensure sufficient compensation for people forced to move.
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that building the park was part of planning areas in the north of Red River.
He noted that building parks was necessary because the city currently lacked green areas with trees, lakes, and entertainment areas. Along with building parks, the city plans to plant more than one million trees by 2020.
Hanoi currently has five large-scale parks, including Thu Le, Thong Nhat, Hoa Binh, Nghia Do, and Cau Giay.
