Phu Quoc Islandin An Giang Province is preparing for the 2026-27 autumn-winter tourism season.
During the 2025-26 autumn-winter season, tour operators ran a series of charter flights from Moscow and other cities in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to Phu Quoc.
This year's charter programmes from Russia and CIS markets will begin in late September, earlier than mid-October last year.
According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), major operators will offer Phu Quoc packages for the 2026-27 autumn-winter season, typically featuring extended stays at three- to five-star hotels.
ATOR has advised travellers to book winter trips to Phu Quoc early as prices are expected to rise closer to departure, with few last-minute discounts available.
Some high-end hotels on the island have already stopped taking bookings for certain winter dates, particularly around the year-end holiday period.
A similar shortage occurred during last year's peak season, when surging demand from late September made it increasingly difficult to secure hotel rooms for the winter months.
