Vietnam's share of total US pepper imports rose sharply from 67.6 per cent to 80.4 per cent. By value, its share also increased from 68.9 per cent to 80.7 per cent. Meanwhile, US pepper imports from Indonesia and India, the next two largest suppliers, fell by 63.3 per cent and 23.4 per cent respectively.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, compared with the same period in 2025, overall US pepper imports showed a declining trend in volume, mainly due to a sharp drop in supplies from sources other than Vietnam. Vietnam, by contrast, continued to strengthen its position as the dominant supplier, posting significant gains in both export volume and market share.
