As many as 67,000 workers were sent to work abroad in the first half of 2019, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%, said Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep at a press conference on labor and social works on July 2.
A total number of 776,900 jobs were created in six months, equal to 98.9% of the same period last year.
The proportion of unemployment in urban area in six months was estimated at under 4% while the proportion of trained laborers hit 59.8%.
As of May 2019, 14.6 million people joined compulsory health insurance and 347,000 ones participated in voluntary health insurance.
At present, monthly social assistance and health insurance cards were provided to more than 2.8 million people.
