Vietnam exports nearly 1.35 million tonnes of coffee with a value of USD 7.64 billion as of November 15, 2025.

Vietnam’s exports to the United States reached a record USD 126.17 billion in the first ten months of the year, up 27.7 per cent year on year and accounting for more than 30 per cent of total export turnover.

According to preliminary data from the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance, exports to the United States in the first ten months amounted to USD 126.17 billion, the highest to date and 27.7 per cent higher than the same period of 2024. The United States remains Vietnam’s largest export market, making up more than 30 per cent of total shipments.

Exports to other key markets also grew: China reached USD 56.98 billion, up 13.9 per cent; the European Union USD 46.5 billion, up 8.3 per cent; ASEAN USD 31.79 billion, up 3.1 per cent; South Korea USD 23.84 billion, up 12 per cent; Japan USD 22.03 billion, up 8.8 per cent; and Hong Kong USD 14.33 billion, up 38.6 per cent.

Export momentum has been driven strongly by the broad expansion of the processing and manufacturing industries. The most notable increase came from computers, electronics and components, rising nearly 78 per cent to more than USD 34 billion, the sharpest growth in a decade. Machinery and equipment grew 9.2 per cent to USD 19.6 billion, phones and components edged up to USD 9.02 billion after two years of stagnation, and textiles returned to growth with USD 14.81 billion, up 11.4 per cent.

A standout category was toys and sporting goods, which have been reshaped by a shift in orders from the United States away from China. Exports in this group surged more than 255 per cent, from USD 1.47 billion to USD 5.24 billion, an exceptionally rare increase. Other consumer goods also performed well: wood and wood products reached USD 7.8 billion, up 6 per cent, while transport vehicles and parts grew nearly 11 per cent.

Agricultural and aquatic products also posted strong growth: fruit and vegetables rose 58.5 per cent; coffee grew more than 60 per cent thanks to high global prices; rubber products increased 51 per cent; and seafood recovered with 7.5 per cent growth as United States inventories fell and demand for premium products improved.

Preliminary Customs data show that as of November 15, Vietnam exported nearly 1.35 million tonnes of coffee with a value of USD 7.64 billion. Although volume rose only 15.4 per cent year on year, turnover jumped 62.6 per cent due to persistently high prices. With more than a month left in 2025, coffee export value has already far surpassed the previous record of USD 5.62 billion set in 2024.

The cashew sector also recorded impressive results. Export turnover reached USD 4.51 billion by mid-November, up 19.3 per cent year on year and exceeding the full-year 2024 figure of USD 4.34 billion, setting a new all-time high.

For pepper, exporters shipped an additional 8,200 tonnes in the first half of November, earning nearly USD 53 million. As of November 15, Vietnam had exported around 213,400 tonnes, worth USD 1.44 billion. This achievement officially surpasses the previous record of USD 1.43 billion set in 2016.
