A Vietnam Airlines flight was held up in Paris for three days due to technical problems, causing hundreds of passengers to be stuck.
Local media reported that the Airbus A350 was slated to fly to Hanoi on January 3 with 201 passengers, but was grounded in Paris for technical issues.

Airbus were approached for technical assistance to solve the problem.
According Vietnam Airlines, the first 40 passengers, mostly old people and children were provided with alternative flights from Paris or Frankfurt. The national carrier on January 4 sent its Boeing 777 to take the remainder of the passengers to Hanoi and the flight was expected to come to arrive at Noi Bai International Airport at 5.30 pm on January 6.
A representative from Vietnam Airlines said that during the wait, all passengers were provided with accommodation and food.
The airline has however failed to provide any information on the technical failures that led to the unacceptable delays to the flight.
