The Soai Rap Petroleum Services Industrial Park will cover 285 hectares in Gia Thuan Commune near the Soai Rap River estuary and the East Sea.

The project, which will be developed under a 50-year lease, is intended to provide industrial infrastructure for petroleum services and related industries. Construction is expected to be completed within 36 months after the investor receives the land.
The investor will be selected through a land-use rights auction in accordance with Vietnam's land law and will be required to contribute at least 15 per cent of the project's total investment.
Provincial authorities have tasked relevant agencies with organising the land auction and overseeing the project in line with legal requirements.
The industrial park is part of Dong Thap's strategy to develop its eastern coastal area and expand its industrial base.
By 2030, the province aims to build a modern and sustainable industrial sector as a key driver of economic growth, leveraging its strengths in agriculture, aquaculture and fruit production.
Dong Thap currently has 26 approved industrial parks, including three located within border economic zones. Six are already operating, four are under construction and the remaining 16 are in the planning or investment promotion stage.
The province's industrial parks and economic zones have attracted 179 investment projects with combined registered capital of more than VND 87.5 trillion. Occupancy rates at industrial parks and clusters exceed 94 per cent.
Officials said the new industrial park would expand the province's industrial land bank, attract investment in petroleum services and supporting industries, create jobs and strengthen the local economy.
