Under a decision by the Hanoi Department of Construction, 15 new VinFast EB8 electric buses manufactured in 2026 have replaced the route's existing diesel-powered fleet.
Each bus has a capacity of 60 passengers. The route will retain its 15-vehicle fleet, with 13 buses in daily operation.
The new buses feature Hanoibus's distinctive green livery, decorated with peace dove motifs and images of Hanoi's iconic Khue Van Cac pavilion.
They are equipped with low floors, accessibility features for passengers with disabilities and modern amenities to improve passenger comfort.
In October, Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) and its subsidiaries introduced 94 electric buses across six converted routes and one newly launched service.
Transerco aims to increase the proportion of environmentally friendly buses in its fleet to more than 51 per cent by the end of 2026, supporting Hanoi's transition towards cleaner and more sustainable public transport.
