According to the Ministry of Health, the case in Hai Duong is a 30-year-old man in Tan Binh Ward, Hai Duong City who had dinner at a local restaurant on August 3. He was tested positive for the virus on Sunday, becoming the sixth Covid-19 patient related to the restaurant.

The National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has completed genetic analysis of the virus of Covid-19 cases in Hai Duong, saying that the virus in the province is similar to the one causing the Covid-19 pandemic in the central city of Danang. It means that the original source of infection, known as F0, has not yet been defined.
Hai Duong Province has detected 10 Covid-19 patients since July 13.
Meanwhile, the case in the central province of Quang Nam is a 49-year-old woman in Tam Ky City. On August 15, she came to a wedding party in Danang and was tested positive for the virus on Saturday.

Since July 25, up to 448 patients have been found to have connected to the outbreak of Danang City.
The country has also reported 24 deaths linked to the pandemic, most of them being the elderly with serious underlying conditions.
