At least two people have been killed and 12 others including four foreign tourists injured in a bus-truck collision in the central province of Ha Tinh.

The accident occurred at 11.30pm on Sunday when a passenger bus suddenly hit the container truck in the back on the National Road 1A in Ky Anh District, police said.

According to police reports, the collision killed the bus's driver, Tran Van Hanh, 45, while one passenger died on the way to hospital.

12 injured passengers including four foreign tourists are being treated at Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital and Ky Anh Disstrict General Hospital, police said, adding that the foreign tourists are from France and Denmark.
