With 310 points, Hanoi-ACB’s midfielder Pham Thanh Luong led the balloting this year’s Golden Ball award, followed by Becamex-Binh Duong’s striker Nguyen Vu Phong and Dong Thap Rubber Group’s goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong.
The Best Young Player award went to Nguyen Trong Hoang from Song Lam-Nghe An and the Best Foreign Player title went to Gaston Melo from SHB-Da Na Nang.
The winner will receive a cash prize of VND30 million, the first runner-up VND20 million and the second runner-up VND15 million.
On the women’s side, the Golden Ball went to striker Kim Chi from Ho Chi Minh City who received 309 points. The Silver Ball was given to Ho Chi Minh City’s goalie Kieu Trinh and the Bronze Ball to striker Dao Thi Mien from Hanoi-Trang An 1.
Chi will get a cash prize of VND25 million, Trinh VND20 million, and Mien VND15 million.
The award ceremony will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 18.
