Vietnamese students receive certificates from Swinburne University |
The university has been running the Master of International Accounting program in Vietnam since 1998 together with the National Economics University (NEU) Business School.
It is the only internationally recognized and accredited program provided in Vietnam that is specially designed to complement the social and economic growth of the nation.
Professor Mike Donnelly, Dean of Swinburne’s Faculty of Business and Enterprise and a former special advisor to the UK government, said, “These students have dedicated three years of study to enhance their professional expertise and to achieve a mastery of the complicated and challenging subject of international accounting.”
Swinburne has around 900 Vietnamese students studying in both Vietnam and Australia.
This year, nineteen graduates in HCMC and twenty-three graduates in Hanoi will receive their degrees.
Swinburne is honoring four graduates for outstanding academic achievements including Ly Ngoc Thuy and Nguyen Thu Phuong, recipients of the Certified Public Accountant Australia Award of Excellence.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) High Achiever awards go to Nguyen Minh Hai and Pham Nam Phong.
