Jetstar Pacific had the most delayed flights


The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam reported that from May 31 to June 6, the number of delayed and cancelled flights reached a record level. This also happened during the days when Hanoi experienced some of the hottest days in summer with the average outdoor temperature was over 40 degrees and at some point, reached 58 degrees Celsius.

A total of 5,733 flights were conducted during this time, including 794 delayed flights, accounting for 13.8% of the total flights, while 16 were cancelled, accounting for 0.3%.

Jetstar Pacific had the most delayed flights with 85 out of 568 flights were delayed. Vasco is the most on-time airlines with only one out of 249 flights delayed.

The most common cause for delay is late arrivals as 549 flights were delayed.

The number of delayed and cancelled flight this time is higher than during the Reunification Day holiday. For the four days off for the Reunification Day and International Labour Day, 5,622 flights were conducted with 636 delays, accounting for 11.3% of the flights, and 26 cancellations, 0.5% of the total flights.
