Many streets in HCM City were deeply submerged on Tuesday following torrential rains. Violent winds also uprooted trees in the city. Some areas experienced power outages.
The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting previously said that the rainy season in the southern region would start from late May and finish at the end of November. This year’s rainfall during the wet season could be 10-15 percent higher than many previous years.
