The MOU, to be signed on Monday in Hanoi between the meteorological agencies of the two countries, calls for Seoul to promote bilateral exchanges including the dispatch of meteorological experts to Vietnam and training Vietnamese personnel on meteorological matters.
Under the arrangement, South Korea will also give the Southeast Asian country support in its modernisation of meteorological administration.
