Public Security Minister Tran Dai Quang had taken over the investigation into the murder of a family of six in their home in Binh Phuoc Province.

Quang visited the crime scene on July 8 to express condolences to the family as they began funeral preparations following examination by forensic pathologists.

Le Van My, his wife and their two children were murdered on July 7. A nephew and a niece were also found dead in the house.
Police suspect the family was killed during a robbery.
At the home, which is also the headquarters of the family's timber company, the minister directed local police and relevant agencies to bring their investigations to a quick conclusion.
