94 motorbikes were seized in an illegal street race bust in Go Vap District in Ho Chi Minh City on February 12.

Traffic police in Go Vap cooperated with Special Police Unit 113, local police and the night-watch of Ward no.10, 11, 16 and 17 to bust the illegal street races, which are regularly held in this area.
The operation took place after midnight of February 11, with the police forces set up in wait on Nguyen Van Luong Street and surround alleys. The police came in at the first signs of the race. Many of the racers tried to escape, some of them even abandoning their motorbikes.
Later, authorities found that most of the bikes had been altered for enhanced speed.
Authorities are continuing their efforts to clamp down on street racers.
