According to the contractor, the span will leave an assembly facility in Vung Tau on October 18 and travel approximately 124 kilometres by water to the construction site in Saigon Ward.

The structure is scheduled to be lifted onto its completed supports on October 21, connecting the main span with the bridge's approaches.
Designed to resemble a nipa palm leaf, the curved span will provide sufficient clearance for vessels passing beneath the bridge.
Construction began on March 29, 2025, with an investment of nearly VND 1 trillion (USD 38 million).

The pedestrian bridge will measure 720 metres in length and between six and 11 metres in width. Its main river-crossing span will extend 187 metres, with a navigation clearance of 80 metres horizontally and 10 metres vertically.
The approach structures and supports required for installing the main span have largely been completed.
