PM Dung leaves Hanoi for CLV Summit in Laos

On November 24, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his delegation left Hanoi for Vientiane, Laos to attend the eighth Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam(CLV) Development Triangle Summit from November 24-25 at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong.

On November 24, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his delegation left Hanoi for Vientiane, Laos to attend the eighth Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam(CLV) Development Triangle Summit from November 24-25 at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong.

The Vietnam delegation’s participation in the summit is designed to further consolidate and develop the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Laos and Cambodia as well as closer cooperation between the three countries in carrying out programs on defence security cooperation and socio- economic development in the triangle area.

The Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam development triangle development cooperation is seen as an important mechanism for maintaining political stability and security, and social safety in the common border area of the three nations.
