Speaking to VietNamNet Newspaper, Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial Tourism Association, Lai Quoc Tinh said that they've asked relevant departments and agencies to temporarily halt tours to the Nho Que River and some other areas that are facing landslides.

The deputy director of the Ha Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Trieu Thi Tinh, said that they have asked concerned agencies to gather the information on tourists staying in the province to prepare support if needed.

The floods, which were triggered by heavy rains on Sunday night and Monday morning, have deeply submerged many roads in Ha Giang, isolating many areas.

As of 9 am on June 10, the floods have caused three fatalities in Ha Giang, including two who were swept away in Hoang Su Phi District and one who died in a landslide in Quan Ba District.

The floods have also damaged lots of roads and crops, with estimated losses of about VND9.50 billion.
