International arrivals reached an estimated 1.68 million in June, down 5.7 per cent from May but up 14.7 per cent year-on-year. Air travel remained the dominant mode of entry, accounting for 10.12 million arrivals, or 82.6 per cent of the total.

Northeast Asia remained Vietnam's largest source region, led by China with 2.69 million visitors and South Korea with 2.16 million. Taiwan and Japan also ranked among the country's leading inbound markets.
Russia posted the strongest growth, with 742,679 arrivals, up 285.8 per cent from a year earlier, making it Vietnam's third-largest source market in the first half of 2026. It was also the fastest-growing market in both June and the six-month period.
Other markets recording strong growth included India, up 45.6 per cent, the Philippines, up 67.6 per cent, and Poland, up 52.1 per cent, supporting Vietnam's efforts to diversify its international visitor base.
Several markets recorded slight declines, including Laos, down 9.4 per cent, South Korea, down 2.13 per cent, Spain, down 1.29 per cent, and China, down 1.12 per cent.
