The landslide, in Tam Dao Commune, Phu Tho Province, was caused by prolonged rainfall and surface runoff.

Emergency crews have diverted water flow to reduce pressure on the slope and prevent further erosion, while local authorities have installed warning signs and redirected traffic around the affected section.

Authorities are assessing other areas at risk of landslides and have prepared evacuation plans should weather conditions worsen.
Visitors have been advised to monitor weather updates and avoid roads vulnerable to landslides during heavy rain.
