The Hanoi People's Committee has issued a plan for fireworks displays marking the 72nd anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day on October 10. In addition to the previously announced sites at Hoan Kiem and West lakes, the city has added a third location at Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong Ward.

The third firing site at Van Quan Lake has been designed to make full use of the lake and surrounding landscape, creating a multi-layered visual effect. It will feature nearly 800 fireworks units, including high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks and pyrotechnic effects.
The Van Quan Lake display will run for 15 minutes from 9 pm to 9.15 pm, simultaneously with the shows at Hoan Kiem and West lakes. Sun Group is sponsoring all three fireworks sites.
As the centrepiece of the celebrations, the first firing site will be set up in front of Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem Ward. It will feature 1,725 high-altitude fireworks, 500 low-altitude fireworks, 50 low-altitude fireworks racks and 350 pyrotechnic rigs positioned on the lake.
The second site, in the Quang Khanh Street area of Tay Ho Ward, will feature the largest number of high-altitude fireworks, with 1,800 units, along with 475 low-altitude fireworks.
For the first time, spectators will also see 200 water fireworks combined with 900 pyrotechnic rigs spread across West Lake, creating a light display across the water.
