The police in An Phu Commune, Hon Quan District were informed about the cross-border visitors at around 7 am on April 26. Police followed the boat in An Tan Village.
They tried to run and hide at cashew gardens in An Tan Village, but failed and were then detained by the police.
The Chinese people confessed that they had entered Cambodia and crossed the border to go to Vietnam.
Hon Quan District’s authorities have sterilised the areas that the group visited.
The nine have also been sent to a local quarantine site for Covid-19 prevention.
The case is under the investigation.
