Work on the project is being hastened to ensure that the elevated section would be operated in April next year and the whole route would be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2022.
At present, hundreds of workers divided into three working shifts per day are speeding up the project pace.

According to Hanoi Railway One Member Ltd. Co., the project operator, it would need 624 staff to operate the route, including 524 for the operation of the 8.5-kilometre elevated section. The investor has drawn up a training programme for the staff to prepare for the project’s operation.
The training programme is scheduled to begin in December this year.
The company reported that the Nhon-Hanoi Station metro line will have 10 trains which are being produced in France. Each train with four carriages can transport 944 passengers. The train’s maximum speed is around 80 kilometres per hour.
The first train will arrive in Vietnam from France late this year instead of July due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
During a recent visit to Nhon-Hanoi Station metro route, vice chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Hung requested a complete site clearance before December this year.
The 12.5-km metro route, the second in Hanoi, which runs from Nhon Town in Nam Tu Liem District to Hanoi Railway Station in Dong Da District, will cost VND36 trillion (USD1.56 billion), sourced mainly from official development assistance from France.
