This was the second rhino horn trafficking case busted by Noi Bai airport’s customs officers last week.
Earlier on October 27, a passenger was arrested at Noi Bai airport while carrying around 6 kilo of rhino horn worth approximately VND4 billion on flight numbered QR 828.
Since the beginning of this year, seven wild animal smuggling cases have been detected.
The importing of rhino horns is prohibited under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species and Vietnam law.
