Outbound tours to Asian countries have attracted people on the coming National Day (September 2) Holiday.

Vietnam's National Day holiday will last four days this year, starting from August 31.

Tran Phuong Linh, Marketing Director of Ben Thanh Tourist, said that her firm was concentrating on tours to Dubai and Northern Europe, as well as domestic destinations such as Danang, Hoi An, Hue, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, and Nha Trang.

Tours to Northern Europe and Dubai have been fully booked. Meanwhile, around 50 per cent of tours to Malaysia and Singapore have been sold.

Pham Anh Vu, deputy director of Viet Media Travel Corporation, said that as many as 60 per cent of tours on the National Day holiday had been sold, with the majority being outbound tours.

The company's tours to Thailand, Singapore, China, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan are attracting customers.

Around 80 percent of Vietravel's tours have been reserved for the National Day holiday, including many tours to Southeast Asian countries, Japan, and South Korea. This figure represents a 30 percent increase on the previous year.

This year, tour prices increased by 5-10 percent on-year due to rising costs and a surge in travel demand due to the extended 4-day holiday.
