The patient in Hung Yen’s Khoai Chau left Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital on September 29 after finishing the treatment there. Initially, nine people were defined to have close contact with the patient.
The Covid-19 testing in Hanoi
An official from Nam Dinh Province’s Department of Health reported that three local residents have tested positive for Covid-19 after returning home from Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital. Two among them are from Hai Hau District, while one another is from Giao Thuy District.
Meanwhile, the central province of Ha Tinh has confirmed two Covid-19 patients who came to Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital although they both tested negative for Covid-19 before coming back to their home.
On Thursday, a patient at the hospital’s Tumour Ward tested positive for Covid-19. Right after that, the hospital building was locked down. Around 91 people, including many medical staff, have been defined to come into close contact with the patient.
According to the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control, all people who came to Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital on September 15-30 must contact their local medical agencies for support.
