The city’s Department of Health released a Covid-19 report during the week of February 21-27 which specified 222 wards and communes in the city were as low-risk areas for Covid-19 and 77 were medium-risk.
In addition, another 13 wards and communes were high-risk areas for Covid-19, including Ward 5 in District 1; wards 5, 7, 11 and 12 in District 10; wards 11 in District 11; Vinh Loc A and Vinh Loc B wards in Binh Chanh District; Ba Diem Ward in Hoc Mon District and the four wards of An Loi, An Phu, Tam Phu and Tang Nhon Phu B in Thu Duc City.
The number of the city’s high-risk areas was 12 higher than that of the week of February 20-26.
By February 28, HCM City had recorded a total of 534,093 Covid-19 cases.
The city has decided that some Covid-19 quarantine and treatment facilities would focus on serving patients with other diseases. In necessary cases, local authorities will consider reopening the suspended field hospitals.
