Man banned from flights for harassing women

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam has decided to ban a Hanoian man from flying for nine months for harassing three female passengers on a domestic flight.

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has decided to ban a Hanoian man from flying for nine months for harassing three female passengers on a domestic flight.

Nguyen Xuan Thanh, 41, in Bac Tu Liem District, was accused of being rude to attendants on a Vietnam Airlines flight from HCM City to Hanoi on June 24 and then harassing three passengers sitting near him.

Under the decision, between July 15 and April 14 next year, Thanh will be banned from taking any flight in and from Vietnam. He will also have to conform to stricter security checks for the six months later.

The CAAV requested all fights of Vietnam and foreign countries operating in Vietnam not to carry Thanh during the banned time.

Airports have been required to implement the ban.
