The vaccines will be allocated to Thu Duc City and other districts immediately for the ongoing vaccination programme.

From July 22 until now, over 2.59 million doses of vaccines have been transferred to HCM City. The city Department of Health has asked for more vaccines or else they will face a shortage of vaccines and won't be able to continue the programme. Vice-Chairman of HCM City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc also sent an official document to Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, asking for 5.5 million doses of vaccines in August.

The sixth wave of the vaccination programme started on August 3 and will last until the end of August. If the vaccine supply is enough, the city may be able to vaccine 70% of the adult population in this month. The city has also started to give vaccines to foreign people living in the city.
