The northern region of Vietnam, including Hanoi, is witnessing the strongest cold snap this winter. Some mountainous areas, including Sapa and Mau Son, have been forecasted to see frost.

On Friday evening, on many streets in Hanoi such as Hoang Cau, Le Van Luong and Le Duc Tho, many workers and homeless people had to use fires to fend off the cold.
