The association's vice head Bui Danh Lien said that based on the situation, public demand and business readiness after the Covid-19 outbreak ends, the association had proposed that local authorities should have plans to ease ban on public buses to serve students and employees. The firms and drivers must follow all regulations such as taking passengers' temperature, asking passengers to sit far apart and disinfecting the buses.
The association also asked local authorities to resume the operation of taxis with Hanoi Taxi badges and contracted cars with less than nine seats. Those vehicles will not be allowed to go to other provinces and cities. Cargo taxis and trucks can also resume operation and will avoid hotspots in the city.
For inter-province passenger buses, the association asked the Hanoi Department of Transport to assign the research task to the bus stations. They must have plans for how many vehicles and the operating frequency are feasible.
The drivers must also follow basic rules like disinfecting the vehicles and asking passengers to stay far apart.
