Under Chung’s instructions, state employees in Hanoi’s agencies and departments are not allowed to use alcohol during work hours.
He asked municipal state employees to limit alcohol drinking on holidays and not to gamble or encourage this activity.
Staff members are banned from giving their bosses gifts on the occasion of Tet Holiday.
Meanwhile, agencies are required to hold cheaper year-end parties.
After the Tet Holiday, agencies need to quickly focus on their work instead of spending working time on festivals.
Public cars are also prohibited from being used to serve individual purposes.
Leaders of agencies, departments of Hanoi’s districts need to set an example for enjoying Tet. They will have to take responsibility for their staff members that violate the chairman’s instructions.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed to a Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs proposal on a seven-day holiday for the Lunar New Year (or Tet) in 2020.
Holidays for Tet 2020 will begin from Thursday, January 23, 2020 to the end of Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
