According to the department, the city now has 118 subsidised bus routes with a total of 1,831 buses.

Under the department’s instruction, on June 8-30, 15% of the city’s bus trips will be slashed, meaning that 1,294 buses will operate per day Monday to Saturday, equal to 15,102 bus trips daily.
Meanwhile, on every Sunday, 1,288 buses are permitted for operation, equal to 15,018 bus trips daily.
A representative from the department said the reduction was considered based on the demand on the routes.
Hanoi has suspended all street beer stalls and temporary markets. The city has also halted many non-essential services and banned gatherings of over 10 people, except for offices, schools, hospitals amid the on-going pandemic.
