Ha Long-Fangcheng maritime route reopened

The maritime route linking Ha Long (Vietnam) and Fangcheng (China) was officially reopened at Hon Gai Vinashin seaport in Ha Long city on April 11.

The maritime route linking Ha Long (Vietnam) and Fangcheng (China) was officially reopened at Hon Gai Vinashin seaport in Ha Long city on April 11.

The route was opened earlier in December 2010 but has been suspended until now.

The opening is the result of strengthened multifaceted cooperation between the two cities.

The head of the Quang Ninh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ha Quang Long, said that local authorities from both cities will exchange visits to mark the event.

A number of conferences to promote tourism are also being organised.
